Move it| ETL

I am not a big fan of exercise. I really don't like sports, I'm not a co-ordinated nor a fit person so getting motivated to exercise is a real struggle. If you're a busy and poor uni student it can be especially difficult if you don't want to pay the expensive gym prices and you're trying to figure out a way to go running and be back in time for that 9 am in the furthest building away on campus.

So I've sourced a couple of ideas to sneak in a bit of exercise for the busy/poor/demotivated student:

Strike a pose

Yoga has so many great effects on your body. From waking you up, to stretching and relaxation- there is something for everyone. I am a big fan of Yoga with Adriene. She's a really funny, straight-talking girl. Her videos are really encouraging and what's great is that you don't feel bad when you can't get a move right (the tree pose is my nemesis), she's really motivating and her videos are so positive.

At Home Workouts

When I heard about workout videos, I pictured me looking like a woman from the 80s with a leotard and bright leg warmers. But PopSugar Fitness is so much better. The workouts are fun and challenging and are a range of lengths- perfect for if you can only fit in five minutes. They guide you through the workout and offer a lower-impact version of the moves if some are a bit of a struggle (after five minutes of pilates, everything is a struggle).

Take a hike

It's easy to squeeze a little bit of walking into your routine. Maybe walk to class instead of getting the bus, or if that's not possible then take the stairs instead of the lift or go for a wander at lunch. I love exercise that doesn't feel like exercise so walking and hiking are perfect for me. I love to get out to the peaks or walk around parks and nature, the beautiful surroundings are a distraction from the effort you're putting in and you feel great after.

Dance like no-one's watching

Learn a dance routine and perform it in your room for the pure fun of it. Or join a class, many universities have a beginner dance group in a range of styles to suit you. Give one a go and find what appeals to you. Or look out for a Ceilidh near you. These are big Scottish or Irish group dances with high-energy folk music and a LOT of skipping around. If you don't have a lot of confidence in your dancing ability these dances are great because people from all abilities and ages can join. It's crazy, fast-paced and so much fun. Why not go with a group if you're nervous and buddy up for the dances.

These are just a couple of ideas to get you started if you want to get moving but just don't know where to start. Always always remember when exercising to go at your own pace and skill-set, if something is too difficult for you then don't push yourself too hard- you don't want to risk injuring yourself. Someday you may overcome that move (damn tree pose) but that doesn't have to be today. Exercising to keep healthy is great and important, but exercising for you and because it makes you feel awesome is even better.

Question of the day:

What's your favourite form of exercise?

Blue Waves Inspired Lookbook

We LOVE artsy creative photos! Soo we decided to create this beautiful blue waves inspired look!

The makeup is inspired by beach waves and the colour they reflect especially in the summer! We wanted to go for something a little different from our street style lookbooks and it's so refreshing to change things up a little and be a little crazy sometimes!!

As you can possibly see, it was a bit of a windy day so perfect for a moody nature-inspired fashion shoot! Sometimes you really have to take advantage of your surroundings as fashion bloggers!

For the hairstyle, we went with a messy, chic look; which we felt emphasized the style we were going for, taking inspiration from the tumbling waves of the ocean with some twists and backcombing. If you toned down the backcombing a tad this hair style could be a reeeally nice look for a classy night out!

Necklace: Forever 21
Shirt: Primark
Eye Liner: Model Co.

Beauty Question of the day:
Blue Eyeliner & Mascara- YAY or NAY?!

Inspiration of the week '15

Over summer everyone can get a little bit sluggish- you're out of class, your friends are on holiday and you find yourself doing the same old things and getting a little bored. Well, we thought it would be a good idea to think about some of the people that inspire us to give you a little bit of inspiration for your week!

Ayah

Niga Higa is one of my favourite youtubers! I absolutely love the way he puts so much effort into all his videos. His creativity really shines through his work! He genuinely makes me laugh
Nowadays, many youtubers publish content because they have a certain schedule and have to follow that; but Ryan Higa posts when his videos are ready. This emphasizes how quality is more important than quantity. Also, his ideas are pretty genius and funny!

Check my favorite video of his, you can thank me later! (Hehe):

Kimmy

I am totally inspired by Tavi Gevinson. I started reading her magazine Rookie a couple of years ago and I always found it to be so thought provoking. She's brave, intelligent, caring, creative and beautiful and she is so going places! She inspires me in my personal life and as a blogger as well!

Question of the day:
Who inspires you most? * Could be a celebrity, politician, musician, blogger, family etc.*

Jump into Summer Lookbook

We've done it! Everyone can go home, stop the search, cancel the fashion police. We have found an outfit that is perfect for summer! This jumpsuit is such a versatile piece of clothing. The material is light enough to be cool on a hot day but keep the breeze off if it gets a bit cool!

With this look, we decided to create a powerful lady like summer vibe...

We added a biker jacket to give it a bit more of a punch but softened the look with this gorgeous curly side pony-tail  braid which we feel adds a bit of class!

For the make up, we went with light pinkish colors but added the wing liner to match the biker jacket!

What do you think of the jumpsuit, what would you pair it with?
Biker jackets and jumpsuits: YAY or NAY?

The heatwave has arrived! It's a whole new experience for us in the UK so we got to just embrace the light and the heat! Hehe x
For this outfit, we felt like the statement floral necklace tied it all in together and added a bit of a flirtatious vibe. Our favourite part about the skirt is how it has a belt attached to it! This outfit is deffo the comfiest outfit ever, which is so important for summer riight?!
What do you lovelies think of the outfit? What else could you have paired the skirt with?
